Privacy Policy
This policy explains how personal data collected through this website is processed, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Last updated: 28 August 2026
1. Data controller
The controller of personal data collected through this website is Rosane Cristina da Conceição, a lawyer registered with the Portuguese Bar Association under licence no. 66226L, tax number 310 797 519, practising in her own name.
She can be contacted by email at rosanecris.advassjud@gmail.com, by telephone on 214 781 230 or on WhatsApp at +351 962 464 364, and the office is located at Centro Comercial, R. Santo André 9, Lj 5, 1675-174 Pontinha, Portugal.
2. Data collected
This website has a contact form and sets no cookies of its own. Personal data is processed when you fill in that form, choose to contact us by email, telephone or WhatsApp, or allow the Google services described in section 5.
The form collects your name, email address, phone number (optional), the area of your enquiry and the message you write. Submission requires your express consent, given through the tick box on the form itself.
Messages sent through the form are delivered by Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.), acting as a processor under a data processing agreement and handling the data only on the firm's behalf and under its instructions. Resend is based in the United States; the transfer relies on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. The message is delivered to the firm's mailbox and is not stored on the website.
Whichever channel is used, we process the data you provide us yourself: typically your name, contact details and whatever information you choose to share about your situation.
The contact page and the contact section of the home page include a Google Maps map that is not loaded automatically: it appears only after you allow the corresponding category or click “Load map”. Only at that point does Google receive your data, including your IP address.
3. Purposes and legal basis
Data is processed in order to answer enquiries, arrange consultations and, where instructions are given, to provide legal services.
The legal basis is the taking of steps prior to entering into a contract and the performance of the service contract itself, together with compliance with the legal obligations applicable to the practice of law.
Processing linked to advertising cookies and to the embedded map is based on your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 5 of Portuguese Law 41/2004 of 18 August. That consent is freely given, specific and may be withdrawn at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing already carried out.
4. Data retention
Personal data is kept only for as long as the purposes above require, according to the following periods.
Enquiries that do not lead to instructions (form, email, telephone or WhatsApp): 2 years from the last contact, after which they are deleted.
Client files: 10 years from the end of the engagement. This is the period the Portuguese Bar Association indicates for keeping professional archives, and the same one that tax and commercial law require for accounting records.
Records collected under the identification duty in Portuguese Law 83/2017 of 18 August (prevention of money laundering): 7 years from the end of the business relationship, under Article 51 of that law.
Invoices and accounting documents: 10 years, under the applicable tax legislation.
Record of your cookie choice: 6 months, stored in your own browser, after which the choice is requested again.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. This website sets no cookies of its own; the only possible cookies belong to Google services and depend on your prior permission, given in the notice shown on your first visit. Refusing does not restrict access to any content on the site.
Advertising (Google Ads). If you allow this category, the Google Ads tag with identifier AW-17126750535 is loaded and sets the cookies _gcl_au, _gcl_aw and _gcl_dc, lasting up to 90 days. They measure whether a visit to the site came from one of the firm's adverts. Without permission the tag is never downloaded and none of these cookies is set; if permission is withdrawn, these cookies are deleted.
Map (Google Maps). If you allow this category, or click “Load map”, the map is loaded from Google's servers, which receive your IP address and may set their own cookies, under Google's privacy policy.
Your choice is stored in your own browser's local storage, together with the date it was made, and is requested again after six months. It can be changed or withdrawn at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.
Google Ireland Limited acts as controller or processor depending on the service, and Google LLC is based in the United States. Transfers of personal data to that country rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
6. Sharing of data
Data is neither sold nor transferred to third parties for commercial purposes. It may be disclosed to the courts, to AIMA (Agência para a Integração, Migrações e Asilo: Portugal's agency for integration, migration and asylum) and to other public or private bodies where necessary to handle the client's case or where required by law.
7. Professional secrecy
All information received is covered by lawyer's professional secrecy, under the Statute of the Portuguese Bar Association.
8. Your rights
You have the right to request access to your personal data, as well as its rectification, erasure or the restriction of its processing, and you also have the right to object to processing and the right to data portability.
These rights may be exercised by writing to rosanecris.advassjud@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD).
9. Security
Appropriate technical and organisational measures are in place to protect the personal data processed, taking into account the nature of the data and the risks involved.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated whenever necessary. The version in force is the one published on this page.
